Standard Response Protocol
The safety of our students and staff is our highest priority. Alton Community Unit School District #11 uses the I Love U Guys Foundation Standard Response Protocol (SRP) to provide a consistent, research-based approach to responding to emergencies.
The SRP uses five simple, common actions—Hold, Secure, Lockdown, Evacuate, and Shelter—so that students, staff, community partners, and families share a common understanding of what to do during a variety of situations.
Throughout the school year, students and staff practice these procedures so they can respond calmly, confidently, and safely if an emergency occurs. We encourage families to become familiar with the Standard Response Protocol by reviewing the graphic below.
