I am a 2000 graduate of Alton High School. I received my Bachelor's degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia, a Master's degree from St. Louis University and a Juris Doctorate from St. Louis University School of Law. Currently, I am a managing attorney with Mandarich Law Group, LLP practicing creditors' rights litigation.

I have two students in the Alton School District and I am the daughter of Cathy M. Williams and the late Roy M. Williams. Besides being an active parent in the District, I spend time serving as a volunteer with Be a Bridge NFP based in Alton and the Jayson Tatum Foundation based in St. Louis.

David Lauschke - Vice President

David is a lifelong resident of the area. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a BA and a MS in Finance. He has been actively involved in local real estate since 1980. He has been involved in appraising, brokerage and most recently in building homes.  
 
David is the father of 3 children and his wife works as a teacher in the Alton School District. His eldest son graduated from Alton High School and is currently in the financial industry and residing in Chicago. His twin daughters attend the University of Illinois.  
 
David resides in the Godfrey area.  He is actively involved in the community, volunteering considerable time to worthwhile causes.  He has served on the ACUSD#11 School Board for over 20 years.

Vivian Monckton - Secretary

I have lived in Alton since 1987, moving here from Lawrence, KS. I am a graduate of the University of Kansas. My daughter is a pharmacist and she and her husband and their three children live in Godfrey. Two of their children are students in the Alton School District.My son is an engineer and he and his family live in Houston. Both of my children received an excellent education in the Alton School District, as did my son in law. .
 
I sell residential and commercial real estate in the Riverbend area. I see a strong tie between a community and the school district. A strong school district elevates the community and community support strengthens the school district.
 
I have always been a firm believer in public education. I was raised in public schools, as were my children. Public education is a cornerstone of a democratic society - the opportunity for all. We must continue to balance the needs of top performing students along with those that need extra support. The Alton district has continued to provide learning experiences to our students in a variety of experiences and disciplines, with the support of our community. 
 
I serve on the school board because I enjoy giving to others. My grandparents displayed a giving, volunteer work ethic which I strive to emulate. Giving to others is relex; the more I give, the more I receive in return. Alton/Godfrey is blessed with a generous base of volunteer talent. I am only one of many who donate their time. 

Tiana Gipson - Board Member

Tiana is an Alton High School Graduate (Class of 2008). Tiana received an associate’s degree from Lewis and Clark Community College. She also holds a bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville in Corporate and Organizational Communication. She indicated her desire to continue providing ACUSD #11students, parents and staff with a positive educational environment.
 
Tiana currently works in the medical field.

Jason Harrison - Board Member

Jason Harrison was elected to the Alton School Board in 2025, driven by a lifelong commitment to service, equity, and community empowerment. A devoted husband to Kayla, father to six, and proud grandfather of three, Jason believes that strong schools are the foundation of strong communities.
 
As the Founder of Harrison Hospitality, Jason brings years of leadership, workforce development, and philanthropic outreach to the Board. His passion lies in creating environments where every student—regardless of background—can thrive academically, emotionally, and socially. With a deep focus on expanding opportunities in vocational training, nutrition, and mental health services, Jason advocates for a school system that nurtures the whole child.
 
Jason’s work as a motivational speaker and community activist has allowed him to mentor youth, support struggling families, and create pathways out of poverty. He sees public education as the most powerful tool we have to shape a better future, and he is committed to ensuring that all students in the Alton School District have access to quality instruction, enriching extracurriculars, and a sense of belonging.
 
A man of faith and purpose, Jason is honored to serve and represent the families of Alton with integrity, transparency, and heart.

Barry Macias - Member

Barry Macias was appointed to the Board in May of 2009.  Barry has a passion for improving all aspects of the Alton School District through excellent teaching and a concentrated focus on improving the extracurricular programs in the District, both athletics and music.   He feels that by creating an environment where students can reach their full potential and have an enjoyable experience learning about teamwork and leadership, he is representing the taxpayers of the community that elected him to office. 
 
As a local business owner, he feels that by building a strong reputation for excellence, you creates an environment of success that attracts new families to the community. 
 
Barry and his wife are both graduates of Alton High School.  They have three children, Sofia, Arie and Alex, all whom have had great experiences in public education.  Barry has worked in the insurance industry for twenty-five years, the last fifteen as a self-employed insurance agent in the Alton community. 

Al Womack - Member

I am an Alton High School graduate (Class of 1989). I also hold a Bachelor of Science Degree from Central State University in Business Administration. I have been the Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Club of Alton for the past 28 years. I am also the proud father of three children. 
 
Along with serving as an Alton School Board Member, I have had the honor of being the Commissioner/Vice President of the Alton Housing Authority, Wood River Refinery Community Advisor Panel (CAP), Facilitator of “Uncomfortable Conversations”, Youth Advocate & Mentor, City of Alton Human Relations Commission, ROAR Volunteer, OSF- St. Anthony’s Hospital Community Assessment Team, ACUSD #11 Wall of Fame Committee, Illinois Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs Board of Directors and Governmental Relations Committee Member, Alton Education Foundation Board Member, Madison – Bond County Workforce Investment Board and Catholic Children’s Home Advisory Board.
